CloudBroker Platform Preview Version Available

The CloudBroker Platform has been opened as a preview to interested professionals who would like to use clouds without the necessity of becoming an expert in cloud infrastructure management. Just choose your executable, upload your data, run your jobs and retreive your results through an intuitive web interface!

The preview platfrom initially supports only a small number of applications (GAMESS, BLAST, AutoDock, Gromacs, X! Tandem and – new – OpenFOAM), but it is easy to add more applications based on user requests. Your added value: benefit from the cloud pay-per-use model without the need to administer your own virtual infrastructure! We take care of product upgrades and security patches - just run the simulation you want with no additional time needed. The platform also has the capability to be driven through a REST-based API, so users can integrate very easily and tightly directly with it.

The preview platform makes use of the Amazon EC2 and S3 services in the background, but CloudBroker will extend this to other cloud providers as well. The next version of the CloudBroker Platform is scheduled to also include access to IBM's Smart Business Development, Test and Compute Cloud services (please see the corresponding press release).
