In all technical, scientific and business areas, calculations, simulations and data processing become increasingly important. But such applications demand lots of computing power to produce results in reasonable time. Users often do not have access to sufficient computer infrastructure, and building and operating your own data center is complex and costly. Scalable on-demand computer resources in the cloud promise a solution to this dilemma. But cloud computing comes with its own new set of challenges for porting and running applications (provider selection, software migration, installation, configuration, maintenance, accounting, licensing and security issues, etc.). This is where CloudBroker comes in.

CloudBroker develops software solutions for applications in the cloud. We are a spin-off company of the ETH Zurich located in Zurich, Switzerland. Our team combines many years of experience in distributed and high performance computing, with particular focus on the chemistry, pharma, biotech, engineering and finance sectors. We base our work on infrastructure services from different cloud providers, where we implement the application software you are interested in. This allows us to offer all-in-one solutions for your computing needs.

Our main product, the CloudBroker Platform, is an easy-to-use application store for high performance computing (HPC) in the cloud. With your web browser or through a REST-based API, you can select from a number of different scientific and technical applications and immediately execute your calculations in the cloud, pay-per-use. You may also deploy and offer your own batch-oriented application software in the cloud via the platform marketplace. And in case you are seeking an individual solution for your special needs, we can support you with software development, research, consulting and training services as well as with partnerships for integration and marketing.
